Do not use the drug if you are currently pregnant or if you have only recently given birth. It has been known to cause birth defects, so tell your doctor if you are pregnant.
Some other drugs can interact with Lynoral and cause severe reactions. Examples of these include medication for Hep-C, HIV, seizures and other diseases.
Do not deviate from your prescription in any way. Follow the directions your doctor has given you in the dosage of the drug.
Do not take it in larger or smaller doses than has been recommended. Do not start or stop taking Lynoral without asking your doctor first.
Side effects are more common in women who smoke and are over 35 years old. If you are pregnant or are nursing a newborn, let your doctor know immediately.
This medication is taken once a day at about the same time every day. Do not let more than 24 hours pass between doses of Lynoral.
Mealtimes do not have an effect on the impact of the drug on your system. However, it can be taken with food if you have a sensitive stomach.
Missed dose and overdose
If you miss a dose and remember within the same 24 hour period, take the tablet as soon as you know you skipped it.
This will not call for the use of alternative contraceptive methods. However, missing two doses in a row puts you at risk of pregnancy.
It is always a good idea to have an alternate method of contraception on hand, like a condom.
If you overdose on Lynoral, call your local poison hotline and emergency medical services immediately.

Call your doctor immediately if you experience these side effects.
Do not use Lynoral if you experience the symptoms of an allergic reaction, such as hives, swelling, trouble breathing and rashes.
Do not use it if you are pregnant or become pregnant during the course of its dosage.
